  • The thermostat only stays on 2 mins before cutting off for 30 mins. Temp will be 24 degrees.what causes thermostat to cut off?

Please send an email to maxkosko@maxkosko.com and provide your order ID. We will assist you with resolving the issue.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

  • Does this work with all heat tape brands? Such as Frostex?

    Yes.

  • What is the maximum wattage that this plug can handle? I want to plug in a 1200 watt ceramic heater in a well pump house.

Yes, up to 1500 Watts. It also allows the cable to energize below 38°F and to turn off automatically at about 50°F.

  • Can this be used outside to turn heating cables on? The info says "Only for dry location." and outdoors is wet!

It is damp out there. You can use a thin plastic bag around it and seal the ends up.
